5 SENSES MEDITATION
Find a quiet place and come to a comfortable seat on your mat or meditation cushion. Tune in with your breath. Find yourself in the present moment and breathe.
Bring your focus to your sit bones grounding into your mat or cushion. Notice the texture of your support and how the earth holds you in place in this present moment.
Next, bring your attention to what you see in the space around you, now observe, what do you see?
If you feel comfortable in your space, you may now close your eyes and soften your shoulders away from your ears.
Next, observe the soft sounds throughout the space you are in and within your own physical body. What do you hear?
Take a breath in, feel the air move in through your nostrils and then out, Observe your breath gently flowing in and out as you observe your sense of smell. What do you smell?
Now bring your attention to your tongue. Notice any mild flavors that arise. What do you taste?
Lastly, Take another deep breath in and out here in your space, knowing that you are held and supported by the universe & the earth and are exactly where you are meant to be in this present moment.
Bring your hands together at your heart center and Bow forward with gratitude.
